HERAT: Taliban killed two officers of National Directorate of Security (NDS) after an attack in western Farah province, police said Wednesday.
The Taliban gunmen opened fire on two security officers in Karez Sheikhha area of Farah city, killing both of them, Iqbal Baher, spokesman of Farah police. He identified the slain security officers as Muhammad Ismail, intelligence chief of Pusht-e-Rod district, and another officer of the same agency, adding investigations were ongoing. There was no claim of responsibility by Taliban.
