Father of Mashal Khan files 5 appeals in PHC

PESHAWAR: Father of Mashal Khan who was killed by a violent mob in Abdul Wali Khan University has filed 5 appeals in Peshawar High Court (PHC) against Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Abbottabad decision in his son murder case.

Iqbal Khan Father of Mashal Khan was outside the country on the day when the verdict of the case was announced.  He had expressed dissatisfaction over the decision of ATC.

Overall 6 appeals have been filed in PHC challenging the acquittal of accused persons by ATC.  The sections under which the prime accused has been acquitted have also been challenged.  The punishment term of 3 years awarded to the accused has also been challenged.

Father of Mashal Khan has taken the plea that the convicts could be awarded punishment more than which has been awarded.
