BAGHLAN: The local officials of Baghlan claimed that five Taliban fighters were killed and seven others were injured in ongoing operations in Baghlan province.
Provincial Police Chief, Ikramuddin Sare told local Afghan media outlet that the operation namely “Alburz 22” was launched on Monday in Baba Nazar and Khalazi area of Dand-e-Shahabuddin area of Pul-e-Khumri city, capital of Baghlan, with the aim to clear the area from the Taliban.
However, he did not provide further details about the operation.
