Five terrorists killed in CTD operation

LAHORE: As many as five terrorists were killed in Counter Terrorism operation conducted in Sagian bridge city while the other three terrorists managed to escape from the scene.

The CTD team conducted operation after receiving information regarding the presence of terrorist that around seven to eight terrorists were hiding near River Ravi.

The terrorists started firing on the officials when they reached the spot and in exchange of gunfire five terrorists were killed and the remaining three managed to escape from the scene.

CTD officials told that the terrorists killed in the operation were affiliated to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP) group and one of the deceased was identified as Zarrar, resident of Bahawaknagar who escaped prison earlier.

Explosive materials, weapons, and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the deceased suspects, the department’s officers added.
