KABUL (BNA): Sheikh Shahabuddin Dalawar, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, recently held a meeting with Morteza Asghari, a representative from the Iranian company, Asmary Group. The meeting was centered around exploring investment prospects in Afghanistan.
As per the Ministry’s statement, the Acting Minister and Asghari engaged in discussions about potential investments. Asghari showed a keen interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mining sector, with a special focus on oil and gas. He noted that Afghanistan now presents significantly improved opportunities for investors compared to previous years.
Dalawar warmly received Asmary Group’s investment interest in Afghanistan’s mining sector. He provided detailed information about the oil blocks in Herat, which span an area of 23,000 square kilometers and are located in the provinces of Herat and Badghis.
The Acting Minister underscored the government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for both local and foreign investors, particularly in Afghanistan’s mining sector.
