Key Taliban commander killed in Ghazni operation: MoI

GHAZNI (TOLOnews): Taliban’s military commission chief among eight fighters of the group were killed in a military operation carried out by Afghan forces in Ghazni province, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Saturday.

The operation was conducted in Qara Bagh district in Ghazni on Friday night, the statement said.

The ministry said that Mawlawi Sahar, head of Taliban’s military commission for Qara Bagh district was among those killed in the operation.

The statement said that two Taliban fighters were killed in a separate operation in Muqur district in Ghazni.

The ministry has not provided more details about the operations.

Taliban has not commented on this claim.
