Monitoring Desk

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the NA-120 by-election is not an ordinary contest and adding that it will decide whether the people is backing the corrupt or the party who are fighting against the corrupt leaders.

This he said while speaking to the media in Oldham at a fundraising dinner for NA-120. He said PML-N were trying to misguide the masses and using disrespecting comments against the Supreme Court.

Qureshi added that SC had given a historical decision in the panama case by disqualifying Nawaz Sharif and it pave way for the accountability of corrupt and powerful people of the country.

Regarding PTI’s candidate for NA-120, Qureshi said that Dr Yasmin Rashid is professional and he established herself by working for the welfare of the people and now on 17 September, people have to decide whether they are in favor of corrupt and disqualified leader or with the professional like Dr Yasmin Rashid

The NA-120 seat fell vacant when Nawaz was disqualified from holding the office of prime minister as a result of the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Panama Papers case. The by-election will be held on September 17.
