At least six policemen killed in Kandahar suicide attack

KABUL: Police Chief of Kandahar, General Abdul Raziq has confirmed that as many as six police officials were killed suicide attack near police headquarters in Maiwand district on early Friday morning.

Raziq added that explosives laden vehicle driven by suicide attacker wanted to enter the police headquarter in Maiwand district however the explosion occurred near the entrance of the headquarters in which six policemen were killed and six others were injured.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
