F.P. Report
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Tehreem Elahi, wife of PTI leader Moonis Elahi and daughter-in-law of PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, after she failed to show up despite having been repeatedly issued summons.
A two-member bench of the LHC, headed by Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, issued the order on the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) petition, seeking cancellation of bails of the people, who are co-suspects in a money laundering case against Chaudhry Pervaiz.
Amir Saeed Rawn Advocate, who appeared in the court along with Rasikh Elahi and Zahra Elahi, on the occasion said that he was the counsel for Rasikh and Zahra, and not Tehreem, whose bailable arrest warrants had been issued.
Deputy Director FIA, on the occasion, said that Tehreem was not cooperating with the investigators and she had been skipping court hearings.
The court later announced it would hear the case after Eidul Fitr.
