LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tribunal banned test cricketer Nasir Jamshed for one year over non-cooperation with the board in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing probe.
The tribunal announced the punishment on Monday after finding Nasir Jamshed was found guilty and was not cooperating with the PCB which is clearly violation of its code in the spot fixing case
The PCB has been conducting a long-running investigation into corruption in the Twenty20 Pakistan Super League.
Nasir Jamshed has played two tests, 45 one-day internationals and 18 Twenty20 internationals for green shirt.
The left-handed batsman can file an appeal against PCB’s decision. Earlier, the tribunal contacted the people in the close circle of Jamshed and gathered the details regarding his activities in London and Pakistan.
Earlier, PCB also banned the cricketers Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Irfan and Khalid Latif were also suspended by the cricket board for their role in the fixing which took place during PSL season 2.
