President for expeditious, inexpensive justice to people

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday said it was the constitutional obligation of the state to provide expeditious and inexpensive justice to its people

 Talking to Wafaqi Mohtasib, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, who called on him at Aiwan-i-Sadr, the president said Government was taking all possible measures in this regard. Wafaqi Mohtasib also presented the annual report-2018 to the President.

 The President underscored the need to use latest IT tools in service delivery by the institution. He appreciated the launch of ‘Wafaqi Mohtasib mobile application’ for the complainants, and revamping its website to make it more user-friendly. He also reiterated his desire for gradual capacity-building/skills up-gradation, procedural improvements and organizational strengthening of the institution for efficient working and complaints resolution at grassroots level.

 The President urged for holding regular seminars to create awareness about the role of Wafaqi Mohtasib among the masses. He further urged for expansion its public outreach by utilizing various media. He especially emphasized the need for broadcasting regular programs on PTV for a country-wide dissemination of information. 

 The President expressed his full support to Wafaqi Mohtasib in discharge of its duties and responsibilities.
