Russian president to visit Egypt on December 11

CAIRO: Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Egypt on December 11 to meet his counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and discuss the bilateral and mutual interest issues.

Egyptian president’s office said on Thursday Russia and Egypt are enjoying close relationship and Putin had previously visited Egypt in 2015.

Russia assisting the first nuclear plant in Egypt and also sold arms to Egypt, both the presidents will hold meeting to discuss bilateral relation and enhancing the political, economic and trade relations.

Earlier, after Putin’s last visit, Russia suspended air travel to Egypt after Daesh bombed a Russian airliner carrying holidaymakers from a Red Sea resort, killing all 224 people on board.
