Six Taliban killed, several injured in premature bombings

KABUL: The Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed that at least six Taliban fighters were killed and several others were injured in three different premature bombings in Zabul and central Maidan Wardak provinces of Afghanistan.

The MoD in its statement stated that the explosions were took place in the past twenty four hours in different locations of the Zabul and Maidan Wardak provinces.

It added as many as two Taliban fighters were killed and two others were injured an explosion in Syedabad district of Wardak province.

Another militant was killed after his explosives went off prematurely in Arghandab district of Zabul province, MoD added.

Similarly, in another incident in Shamulz district of Zabul, at least three militants were killed and another militant was wounded, MoD added.

The Ministry of Defense says the three separate incidents took place while the militants were busy planting roadside bombs.
