Taliban orders to stop mobile phone signals in Kunduz

KUNDUZ: The Taliban groups have reportedly blocked the mobile phone network in different districts of Kunduz province which created problems to the local residents in this regard.

A resident of Kunduz told local media that Taliban were blocking the mobile signals mostly in the night which was created serious problems to the local people of the area.

One of the mobile network services identified as Roshan Telecom Company remains completely closed during the 5.00pm to 5.00 am timing while the signals of the other companies were slowly weak and later it was stopped working, he added

Local residents demanded from the Taliban to remove restrictions on the operations of telecom network in the area as it created problems to them.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid while contacting the media persons confirmed that Taliban had imposed restrictions on mobile phone network at night because of security reasons and the order will stay till the security threats are eliminated.
