Acting Interior Minister holds key meeting with Russian special envoy for Afghanistan

KABUL (BNA) Alhaj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, recently held a crucial meeting with Zamir Kamelov, the Special Envoy of the President of Russia for Afghanistan.
The meeting, which took place in an undisclosed location, saw both sides engage in fruitful discussions pertaining to Afghanistan-Russia relations and regional political and security matters.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan issued a statement following the meeting, highlighting the key points of discussion.
The talks revolved around the deepening of bilateral ties between Afghanistan and Russia, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and dialogue in promoting stability and peace in
the region.
The discussions on regional political and security issues reflect the shared concerns of Afghanistan and Russia regarding the stability and security of the broader region.
Both parties expressed their commitment to addressing these challenges through collaborative efforts, including intelligence sharing and coordinated strategies.
The meeting also served as a platform for the exchange of perspectives on various issues of mutual interest, including counterterrorism, drug trafficking, and regional stability.
