Bilawal criticizes govt for dropping inflation bomb on nation

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the government for dropping the inflation bomb on the masses as a gift of New Year.

Bilawal said this on Monday after government announces hike in petroleum products. He added that government is trying to take the right of living from the masses and robbing the people of their rights.

However, Advisor to prime minister on Finance, Miftah Ismail has said that it was PPP who were dropping the petrol bomb on the masses and reminded that the price of petrol on March 1, 2013, was Rs106.60. 

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Chairperson Siraj-ul-Haq demanded that the government should reverse the increase in petrol prices.

On Sunday, the government revised the prices petroleum products increasing the price of petrol by Rs4.6 per litre, petrol to be sold at Rs81.53 now.
