Complete shutdown strike being observed against Rajnath’s visit to Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Complete shutter down strike was observed on Sunday in occupied Jammu and Kashmir during the visit of Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh.

The shutter down strike call was given by the resistance leadership including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. All the markets and business centers were closed and the roads of Srinagar were empty to registered protest against Indian forces atrocities on innocent Kashmiris.

Observing the strike in the Indian occupied valley is to prove the international community and Indian leadership that people of Kashmir are struggling for their freedom and their movement in this regard cannot be crushed by force, the resistance leadership said in a statement.

The Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh was arrived in Srinagar on four days visit and authorities have imposed new restrictions in different areas of Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Gilani continues to remain under house arrest while Farooq was placed under house arrest on Friday night and Malik remains imprisoned at Central Jail, Srinagar.
