NAB to probe all mega corruption cases including Multan Metro, aircraft sale

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has said that he will follow the policy of zero tolerance for corruption and also ordered an inquiry in to the alleged corruption in the Metro Bus project of Multan and the sale of a PIA aircraft to a German museum on low price.

Javed Iqbal also directed the officials to submit an inquiry report in one week on mega corruption in the private housing societies. He had taken these decisions while chairing a meeting of the NAB DGs of all regions.

He also directed the officials to submit the details of all the mega corruption cases to him in three months and adding that the mega corruption cases would not be kept in files and will be proceed as per the law of the country.

Regarding the Supreme Court directives in the Panama case verdict, he said that the verdicts of SC will be implemented in true letter and directed the officials to complete the legal requirement of the cases before filing it.

He warned the officials to work in the better interest of the masses and country otherwise they would not be tolerated in the NAB as there is no place for the incompetent and corrupt people in the bureau.
