‘A Tribute to Nayyara Noor’: Karwan-e-Hayat announces fundraiser event

KARACHI: Karwan-e-Hayat (KeH), a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to mental health care in Karachi, proudly announced its recent fundraiser event, “A Tribute to Nayyara Noor,” which aimed at raising crucial funds for the treatment of individuals suffering from mental illness in Pakistan.

At the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi delivered an enchanting musical celebration of Pakistan’s cultural heritage while championing the cause of mental health awareness and support.

With an estimated 15 million people grappling with mental health issues in Pakistan, KeH’s steadfast commitment to providing free mental health care to the underprivileged for over four decades underscored its vital role in the community.
Through outpatient, inpatient, rehabilitation, and community services offered at its facilities in Keamari and Korangi, as well as through its twenty-one outreach camps, KeH has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families.

Arshad Mahmud, a renowned musical director and producer, conceptualized and presented “A Tribute to Nayyara Noor.” This two-evening program was a captivating homage to the legendary singer Nayyara Noor and her immortal melodies, serving as both a cultural celebration and a call to action for mental health support.

Funds raised from the event enabled KeH to expand its services and outreach, making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges across Karachi and beyond. Despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, KeH remained steadfast in its mission to provide essential mental health care to those in need.
