Actions against one wheeling taken

PESHAWAR: The City Traffic Police Peshawar detained 12 more people for one-wheeling on the Northern Bypass and locked their motorcycles in the terminal.
A crackdown on one-wheeling on the Northern Bypass was conducted in which 12 more youths were detained for one-wheeling and their motorcycles were seized in 523/550 sections and locked in the terminal while their parents were arrested by the city traffic police.
Chief Traffic Officer Qamar Hayat Khan has said to speed up the action against the one-wheeling perpetrators and seize the motorcycles and arrest the one-wheeling perpetrators and take a written guarantee from their parents that their children will continue to do one-wheeling.
He said that doing one-wheeling is like playing with one’s life because many precious lives have been lost and happy homes of people have turned into mourning due to this dangerous sport. There will be no leniency and strict action will be taken against them.
He said that City Traffic Police Peshawar is using all available resources to ensure implementation of traffic rules and no one will be lenient in this regard.
He further said that the purpose of campaigns related to traffic rules across the city and to ensure its implementation is to improve the traffic system in the city and to secure the lives of the citizens, in this regard, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated while the perpetrators will be punished. Strict action will be taken against the persons as per law.
