KABUL (Ariana News): Acting Minister of National Defense Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid on Tuesday met and held talks in Kabul with the head of Uzbekistan’s intelligence agency, along with his accompanying delegation.
Enayatullah Khwarizmi, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, said in a statement that Yaqoob Mujahid expressed gratitude for Uzbekistan’s positive stance toward Afghanistan on the global stage, and emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral relations.
According to the statement, the Uzbek delegation expressed satisfaction with the nationwide security and economic progress in Afghanistan and also stressed the need to strengthen bilateral ties.
The two sides also discussed border cooperation, the establishment of communications, and other related matters.
