Afghan Minister met Pak Ambassador

KABUL (Agencies): The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Al Haj Nuruddin Azizi, met with the Ambassador of Pakistan in Kabul, Obaid-ur-Rahman Nizamani, to discuss the concerns of Afghan businessmen and request that the country take care of the clearance of transit goods delayed in Karachi port. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Mines and Commerce, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce talked about the transit property of Afghan businessmen included in the sensitive list of Pakistan and the clearance of transit property delayed in Karachi port. He asked the ambassador to address these issues with Pakistani officials. Obaid-ur-Rahman Nizamani emphasized the importance of strengthening Afghanistan-Pakistan trade relations and assured that he would share these concerns with Pakistani authorities to solve the problems. To follow up on this issue, Nooruddin Azizi is planning to talk with officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce to find a solution.
