AfghanAid announces £16 million budget for Afghanistan, focuses on disaster management

KABUL (BNA): Charles Davy, representative of AfghanAid in Afghanistan, announced a £16 million budget for the country during a meeting with Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Director of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority. Of this budget, £1.5 million is specifically allocated for disaster management efforts.

During the meeting, Mullah Nooruddin Turabi highlighted AfghanAid’s impressive track record of over 43 years in Afghanistan, underscoring the urgent need for work across various sectors, mainly within the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority.

The AfghanAid delegation expressed their support for the authority’s ongoing positive developments and reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating on training health workers, enhancing capacity, and improving service delivery to the Afghan people.
