ISLAMABAD: During especial campaign against drug traffickers on directions of DG ANF Major General Muhammad Arif Malik, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 3212.446 Kg Narcotics valuing Rs. 2.468 Billion internationally, arrested 31 culprits including 2 foreigner, 3 ladies, impounded 10 vehicles while conducting 29 counter-narcotic strikes throughout the country.
The seized drugs comprised of 3170.7 Kg Hashish, 10.4 Kg Opium, 17.26 Kg Heroin, 9.915 Kg Methamphetamine and 4.171 Kg Amphetamine.
ANF Quetta recovered 2810 Kg Hashish from general area of Killi Damam, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qila Abdullah. In another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 210 Kg Hashish from general area of Ter Gill, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagai.
In third operation, ANF Quetta arrested Muhammad Ramzan and Asadullah both resident of Jaffarabad near Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zahid Medical Complex, Mastung Road, Quetta and recovered 16.8 Kg Hashish from their personal possession.
In fourth operation, ANF Quetta arrested Javed Akhtar resident of Peshawar from Quetta International Airport and recovered 1.150 Kg Amphetamine from 2x sweets boxes placed in his luggage.
The arrested accused intended to fly for Dubai by Qatar Airways flight No. QR-601.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Hiace near Tarnol Phattak, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 12 Kg Hashish from the car. A person onboard Ajmal Shah resident of Peshawar was arrested at the spot. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested three ladies Sameena Bibi, Zareena Bibi and Noor Fatima (5 years old) all residents of Chkwal from 26 No. Chungi, Bus Stop, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 9.6 Kg Hashish from their personal possession.
In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Pickup near Indus Chachi Hotel, Kashmir Highway, Islamabad and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish from the car. Tahir Mehmood resident of Swabi was also arrested from the vehicle. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car from Chakwal Mor, Main GT Road, Sohawa, Jehlum and recovered 2.2 Kg Hashish concealed in driving seat of the vehicle. A person onboard Israr Ali resident of Rawalpindi was also arrested from the vehicle. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Babar Hussain resident of Rawalpindi from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 2.006 Kg Amphetamine concealed in packing material of his travelling bag.
The arrested accused intended to fly for Madina via Behrain by Gulf Airline Flight No. GF-771. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Sabir Shah resident of Khyber Agency from Tarnol Phattak, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.
In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Muhammad Sabir resident of Hangu from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 600 Gram Hashish concealed in his trolley bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Qatar (Doha) by Flight No. GR-633.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki FX car near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, DG Khan-Quetta Road, Multan and recovered 4.5 Kg Hashish from the vehicle. Three persons Muhammad Dilshad, Muhammad Fayyaz Anjum and Ghulam Mustafa all resident of Lodhran were arrested from the vehicle during the operation.
In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Khanewal Toll Plaza, Multan Lahore Road, Khanewal and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the vehicle. A person onboard Muhammad Asif resident of Okara was also apprehended during the operation.
In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested a Nigerian National Kingsley Chima from Sialkot International Airport and recovered 420 Gram Heroin concealed in his trolley bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Doha by Qatar Airways Flight No. QR-631.
In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a parcel from a courier service office at Lahore containing clay rollers and recovered 3.3 Kg Heroin concealed in 5x clay rollers. The parcel was booked from Sialkot and was destined to UK. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a parcel of gloves from a courier service office in Sialkot and recovered 630 Gram Heroin concealed in it. The parcel was booked for UK.
In sixth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a parcel from a courier service office at Cargo Complex, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.69 Kg Heroin soaked in 36 Bukram Pieces. The parcel was being sent to Indonesia.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda Civic and a Suzuki Mehran car near Kamboh Adda, Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 7.2 Kg Opium, 3.6 Kg Heroin and 22.8 Kg Hashish concealed in trunk of the intercepted vehicle.
Two brothers Qurash and Amresh resident of Peshawar have also been arrested from the vehicle. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla car from Kohat and recovered 9.6 Kg Hashish (8x Packets) lying on rear seat of the vehicle. Two persons onboard Muhammad Asad and Tariq Mehmood both resident of Kohat were also arrested during the operation.
In third, intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Cultus Car near Chamkani Bridge, GT Road, Peshawar and recovered 2.4 Kg Opium and 10.8 Kg Hashish concealed in secret cavities and dashboard of the vehicle.
A person onboard namely Sajjad Mehmood resident of Peshawar was also arrested during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Sharif Ullah resident of Khyber Agency from Peshawar International Airport and recovered 2.6 Kg Hashish concealed in 2x Sweet Boxes kept in luggage of the arrested accused. He was travelling to Doha by Qatar Airways flight No. QR-601. In fifth, intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Muhammad Yasir resident of Swabi from Main Bus Stop, GT Road, Jahangira, Nowshera and recovered 990 Gram Heroin wrapped in cloth placed in his shoulder bags.
In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an Afghan National Khair-Ud-Din, Abdul Haseeb resident of Peshawar and Muhammad Faisal Shah resident of Upper Dir from Toyota Kyber, Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 1.015 Kg Amphetamine alongiwth a 9 MM Pistol with 12 x live rounds, 1x 30 Bore Pistol with 14 x live rounds.
ANF Karachi intercepted an unattended car near Hala Naka, Hyderabad and recovered 33 Kg Hashish from the vehicle. In another operation, ANF Karachi arrested Waseem resident of Karachi from Al-Asif Square, Super Highway, Karachi and recovered 18 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.
In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested Abdullah Mastoi and Syed Ameer Hussain both resident of Karachi near Total Petrol Pump, Indus Chowrangi, Karachi and recovered 6.28 Kg Heroin and 2.9 Kg Methamphetamine from their personal possession.
In fourth operation, ANF Karachi arrested Yasir Shah resident of Charsadda from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 6 Kg Methamphetamine soaked in cloths placed in luggage of the arrested accused. He intended to fly for Riyadh (KSA) by flight No. SV-715.
In fifth operation, ANF Karachi arrested Faqeer Muhammad resident of Quetta from Qalandri Masjid, Baqai University, Super Highway, Karachi and recovered 1.015 Kg Methamphetamine from his personal possession. In sixth operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel from a courier service office situated in Karachi and recovered 800 Gram Opium and 350 Gram Heroin concealed in 5 Seat covers. The parcel was booked from Bhakkar and was destined to Canada.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
