Army beat Lahore in Rugby Championship

LAHORE: Army routed Lahore Rugby Football Club by 38-05 in an important Division I match of 5th Edition of Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship at Islamabad Jinns Rugby Club ground on Thursday.

According to information provided here by Pakistan Rugby Union rugby services manager Syed Mozzam Ali Shah that Army demonstrated quality rugby skills to outshine their opponents in all departments of the game. Army started well in first half and in the 4th minute Nasir scored a try.

In the 12th minute of first half Asad scored a try which was converted by Waqas. In the 25th minute Shahbaz of Army scored another try which was again converted by Waqas. Musadiq of Army scored another try in the 33rd minute of first half which was again converted by Waqas.

Before the end of the first half Arslan of Lahore Rugby Football Club scored a try which was not converted but LRFC got some points on table. At half time, Army was leading with 26 points and LRFC with 5 points. In the 2nd Half Army players dominated with aggression and built up solid defense and did not allow LRFC players to scores a point.

From Army Waqas scored a try in the 20th minutes of 2nd half which he also converted. In 2nd half 35th minute Imran of Army scored another try.

In the end Army won the match convincingly.
