Army Chief in Balochistan to spend second Eid day with troops

QUETTA (APP): Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa spent the second day of Eid-ul-Azha in Balochistan, Inter Services Public Relations stated on Sunday.

The military’s media wing said the army chief met residents and troops in Turbat and Gwadar, in the southern region of the province.

On Saturday, the first day of Eid, the army chief visited troops deployed in Rajgal Valley of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas on the Pak-Afghan border.

“Eid on duty for the security of Pakistan and its people is the best festivity for us,” the COAS said, according to a tweet by ISPR Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor.

“Pakistan is our passion & our life; our lives are for Pakistan. ‘Nothing/no one is above [our] country. Inshallah together we’ll make it the best country,” Bajwa said.

Earlier in the day, General Bajwa extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In July this year, during a visit to Quetta Garrison, Gen Bajwa reiterated his support for Balochistan and said the province was his prime focus.

“Balochistan is my prime focus and prosperity of people in Baluchistan at par with other provinces is the main objective,” the COAS said during his visit, according to the ISPR.
