Closure of transport, shopping malls, restaurants: IGP directs strict action on instructions issues by govt

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Sana ullah Abbasi has directed police officers to adopt Anti-Corona SOPs to protect the force and to ensure initiatives for the security of Quarantine Centers for Corona Victims, in their respective areas.

The directives were issued during a Video Conference  in Central Police Office, to the Regional Police Officers.

The IGP told that police has to ensure strict action on the instructions issued by the Provincial Government regarding Transport, Shopping Malls, Hotels and Restaurants etc.

The RPOs apprised the IGP of their steps taken against the Corona Virus and in the light of which the IGP told that All Ranks and files are a precious asset of the force who performed their duties in  difficult  and hard times by putting their lives in danger.

The IGP issued special directive to the officer to keep vigilant eye upon the militants and other anti-social elements so that their nefarious designs in the garb of the Corona out break might be curbed.

The IGP said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force will not let their nation down in the performance of their potential to combat this menace of Corona.

The IGP directed the Police Officers to care for the welfare of  their force and also to make sure the  compliance on Anti-Corona precautionary measures in letter and spirit.

The IGP reiterated that the steps taken must be in line with the directions issued by World Health Organization (W.H.O) against anti corona.

Meanwhile, KP Police has arrested several people for not following instruction issued by government as prevention from corona virus infection.

In Peshawar around 20 persons were arrested for violating lock down announced by the provincial government.

In Bannu city, around three persons were arrested over violation of ban and not keeping them isolated.
