Either it is the time of trouble and everyone is scared of Corona menace or it is the time of Ramadan and everyone feels blessed but the high tradition and culture of looting and plundering general masses will remain in every part of the country, province KP and particularly in Peshawar.
Businessmen, shopkeepers, dealers and traders have almost doubled the prices of commodities and edibles.
Ramadan was considered a season for hoarding, artificial price hike and inflation but this time corona and Ramadan gathered which doubled the flavour of the season
The government would claim that efforts are being made to give relief to general masses and actions are being taken against persons involved in artificial price hike, hoarding or inflation.
I heard a few friend shopkeepers that when officials from administration come and inquire the price of items so they tell the real price adding that they ask them why don’t they go to Mandi’s and real stakeholders and take action against them as they sell times on high price to them so they are compelled to sell items to public on further high price as they also want to make their own profit.
They maintained that administration officials either fine them or say that wish they could do as wished.
But being Muslims it has been our primary duty to give relief to general masses during trouble or bless but instead start looting.
The creation of helpline in this regard will be appreciated where everyone will directly contact the responsible officials to handle the flying prices.
