Country currently ruled by lies, hypocrisy: Abbasi

Hafiz Muhammad Aziz-ur-Rehman

HAFIZABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that we had joined the PDM in good faith but the alliance which does not have trust does not remain united but the paths diverged.

The PPP broke its confidence and oath by deviating from the PDM’s decision for the sake of a minor seat. Congratulations to the PPP. Unless the PPP restores confidence, it has no place in the PDM.

Addressing a press conference on the occasion of Youm-i-Takbeer in Hafizabad, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the country is currently ruled by lies, hypocrisy and corruption.

The PTI health minister committed corruption worth Rs. 6 billion but no action was taken against him and he remains the party’s secretary general. Inflation in the country today is the reason for stealing the 2018 elections. In our time the price of sugar was Rs. 53 per kg but in the present regime we are not getting even Rs. 100 per kg. The level of corruption in Punjab today is unprecedented.

The present rulers are inaugurating these projects by changing the names of our projects and putting up their own plaques. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is ill, has been in jail and is now out of the country but in every corner of Pakistan the slogans seems to be only Nawaz Sharif who is the identity of a successful political leader.

He said that PML-N has the same statement that all institutions should work within their limits but unfortunately the legislature, judiciary and media are not independent in Pakistan today. The present government and the NAB are making allegations against the PML-N, but three years on, not a single allegation of corruption has been proved against the PML-N.

He said that detonating a nuclear bomb on May 28, 1998 was the most difficult decision in the history of Pakistan but the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif denied the presidents and prime ministers of many countries including the United States, Britain, Germany and France. And Pakistan became the first nuclear power in the Islamic world.

Former Federal Minister Saira Afzal Tarar, Former MNA Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, Member Provincial Assembly Dr. Muzaffar Ali Sheikh, District President Ch. Muhammad Bukhsh Tarar, Secretary Abid Ehsan Chatha, Vice President Rai Qamar-ul-Zaman Kharal, Tehsil President Rai Muhammad Javed Kharal. City President Khalid Mehmood Butt, Information Secretary Muhammad Zaman Bhoon, Basharat Raza Butt and a large number of local PML-N leaders and workers were present.
