Dar will not appear before accountability court today

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will likely not to appear in the accountability court to face the corruption case against him today.

Ishaq Dar is accused and facing a case of possessing assets beyond the known income sources which is filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Finance minister was also failed to appear before the accountability court in the last hearing on November 2.

Local news channel reported that the Dar’s counsel will present his client’s medical reports in the court and will also request the court to adjourn Dar’s hearing.

In the last hearing of the case, the accountability court approved the request by the NAB to freeze the assets of Dar.

A request by Dar to spend Rs0.6 million monthly from the accounts for personal expenses was also rejected by the court.

All accounts belonging to Dar, except those operated by accountant general revenue, were to be frozen after the court order.
