LANDI KOTAL: First COVID 19 positive case was identified here in Bhai Khel, Shiekhmal Khel area of Landi Kotal. The health official said that three day back a suspected, Rehmatullah s/o of Anwar Khan, 40 was quarantined in isolation ward in Headquarter hospital, Landi Kotal and his sample was sent to laboratory test to Peshawar where he was detected coronavirius positive.
According to the health official family members of the infected persons was also quarantined in their home. It is to be mentioned here that days back the effectee had returned from Lahore. Deputy Commissioner, Khyber also confirmed the first positive COVID 19 case in Landi Kotal and said all precautionary measures will be adopted to curtain spread of the virus. Till filing the report lock down of the village of the effectee was carried out and residents were asked to stay it their homes.
Separately, the vegetable association of Landi Kotal Bazaar distributed free vegetables among the deserving to assist them in the time of need. Head of the union, Yasin Shinwari gave away 250 bags of free vegetables to deserving poor and more COVID 19 effected families of the area. On the other hand officials of local administration conducted baton charge to disperse gatherings.
