PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on Monday that controversial Kalabagh Dam should be built.

Speaking to the media, Gandapur said that neighboring Afghanistan has become Pakistan’s enemy due to Islamabad’s wrong policies. He said that Pakistan is expelling Afghan refugees after 40 years, but he has retained them for now in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Why don’t Afghans get citizenship? Investment of billions of dollars is coming. They should be given citizenship,” he said.

The chief minister said that student visa was started on his request. “I have made an offer for the treatment of earthquake victims in Afghanistan. There is no sniper rifle in the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. No police station or officer in the province has a bulletproof vehicle.”

Gandapur further said, “We are competing with them; they have defeated America. We have to invest in the police. There is a shortage of 92 officers, the federation has demanded that I give them officers. I received extremists as gifts.”
