ICC issues test players ranking; Babar Azam holds fifth position

ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently released its latest Test Players Ranking, stirring up the cricket world with some significant changes and consistent performances.

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson continues to dominate the Test batsmen’s rankings, holding onto his first position. England’s Joe Root, showcasing his exceptional form, has climbed up one rank, securing the second position. Australia’s Steve Smith has also made a notable move, ascending to the third position.

Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam, known for his elegant batting style and consistent performances, holds the fifth position.

India’s young talent, Yashasvi Jaiswal, has made a remarkable entry into the top ten, jumping two ranks from the 12th to the 10th position. Rohit Sharma, another Indian batsman known for his aggressive batting style, has moved up one rank to the 11th position.

In the Test Bowlers category, India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead, retaining his first position. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon have shown significant improvement, moving up one and two ranks to the fourth and sixth positions, respectively.

Pakistan’s star left arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, known for his lethal bowling, has moved up one rank from the 12th to the 11th position.

In the Test All-rounders category, India’s Ravindra Jadeja continues to showcase his all-round skills, retaining the first position.
