Islamic Emirate leader urges judiciary to expedite prisoner cases

KABUL (TOLONews): The leader of the Islamic Emirate, Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, has called on judges across the country not to leave prisoners in a state of uncertainty.

In a speech at a three-day seminar titled “Reform and Training of Judicial Officials” in Kandahar, Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada stressed that the judiciary is one of the key pillars of the Islamic system.

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson, quoting the leader of the Islamic Emirate, said: “Do not leave prisoners in uncertainty, ensure justice among the people, and write books based on your judicial experiences.”

“We hope that the decree or statement issued by the leader of the Islamic Emirate will be accepted by all judges and courts as our demand, and that the cases of prisoners will be addressed as soon as possible,” said Hamidullah Hotak, a political analyst.

The leader of the Islamic Emirate also highlighted the importance of ensuring justice in society, underlining the role of judges and adding that they can eradicate corruption and conflict in the country.

The deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate added: “We hope that the decree or statement issued by the leader of the Islamic Emirate will be accepted by all judges and courts as our demand, and that the cases of prisoners will be addressed as soon as possible.”

The leader of the Islamic Emirate also highlighted the role of courts, stating that they play a major role in achieving the objectives of jihad.
