Israeli army detains 25 more Palestinians in West Bank

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) : The Israeli army rounded up 25 more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on late Sunday, according to prisoners’ affairs groups.

The detentions took place in several areas in the occupied territory, including Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Hebron, and Jericho, the Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a joint statement.

According to the statement, at least 6,195 Palestinians have been detained by the Israeli army in the West Bank since Oct. 7.

Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on Oct. 7. At least 25,295 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in the onslaught.
