Judges allegations and third party’s conspiracy

A surprising situation has emerged in the past few days after the eight honourable judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) authored a letter to the Supreme Judicial Council leveling allegations of interference and harassment of the top judges by the Intelligence Operatives of the National Intelligence Service. The matter has been viewed with great concern by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the government. The federal government immediately ordered a high-power inquiry commission led by a former Chief Justice to ascertain the truth and mitigate the situation accordingly. The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Esa took suo moto notice of the issue and vowed to defend the sovereignty and independence of the judiciary at all costs by constituting a full court to hear the case on merit. Presently, all Bar Councils, the entire justice system, civil society, and the common public have a consensus on the single point that the sanctity of the judiciary must be protected and no quarter should be allowed to harass judges and use courts to implement its heinous agenda.

Amid such circumstances, the Chief Justice and the judges of Islamabad High Court (IHC) received anonymous letters having threatening signs and suspicious powder inside perceived to be deadly anthrax, a poisonous substance that causes lung infection and can lead to the death of a person. Meantime, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, and four apex court judges along with the LHC administration received the posted suspicious letters in the names of 4 judges that further hinted at the gravity of the situation. The letters were allegedly signed by a woman named Resham, the wife of Waqar Hussain. It has also been revealed that the woman who sent the letters to the judges did so without mentioning her address and leaving any clue to fail the investigation. According to the details, the Police have registered an FIR and investigations are currently underway to identify the sender, the nature of the powdery substance, and the real motives behind this criminal practice and conspiracy.

After the crucial election season passed smoothly and peaceful transition of power in the center as well as all four provinces marked the successful culmination of an important political and constitutional activity. The nation embraced the newest issue that brought two important state organs, the judiciary, and the military against each other. The situation is worrisome and merits a rational and principled approach from both institutions to reach the facts and resolve the issue amicably. The constitution of Pakistan does not permit any individual or institution to intervene in the court’s hearing or meddle in the internal affairs of the judiciary. However, the mysterious efforts by the unknown elements to further widen the gap and create distrust among the concerned institutions is a well-thought strategy of anti-State and anti-Pakistan forces in the country or abroad. Such conspiracies create harassment and mold public opinion, blending intrigue and the allure of hidden truths behind fictional events. These pre-planned events create alternative narratives to official explanations, often involving powerful entities or individuals orchestrating events behind the scenes. Although these conspiracy events are harmless, they can fuel distrust, and misinformation, and support enemy propaganda against the state institutions, which is already at its peak in social media.

Presently, Pakistani society is highly polarized and split up. The selective approach of political leaders, social media propaganda, and hate campaign persistently spoil the political and social environment in the country. The National institutions including the military, courts, and adjudicators are the prime target of political hatred and defamation campaigns by the anti-state elements. The current situation merits the utmost due diligence and comprehensive investigation to reach the culprits and determine the true motives behind the ongoing conspiracy. The state’s hierarchy is not only to protect the judiciary from outside intervention but also carefully nullify the enemy’s psy operation and black propaganda against our valiant armed forces and state institutions which have flourished in the country in the recent past. It is time that the state reacts with full might to put the house in order with each state organ in its right place, each functionary and leader within its clothes, and strict implementation of the law. This is a one-point agenda to rule a nation and grasp success in the world.
