PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has warned the step-motherly attitude of PML (N) led government towards smaller provinces in distribution of their financial share from federal pool would be damaging for the Federation. He said that the PML (N) government should stop rubbing salt on the wounds of Pakhtun.
He was addressing a public gathering at village Regi, Peshawar, on this occasion prominent political figure Falak Niaz Khan with scores of supporters and family members announced their joining in QWP.
He described the budget estimates as eyewash and the government has failed to provide any relief to the masses. He said that the government should have announced major initiatives to control energy crises. He said that the smaller provinces particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were ignored in the fiscal plan presented by the federal government that the province would remain in the grip of crises. He said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas have been overlooked as no allocation made to compensate the militancy-affected people.
He regretted that the longstanding issues of Pukhtoons had been put on back burner that intensified their sense of deprivation. He said that issues such as loadshedding, merger of FATA-KP, CEPEC, rehabilitation etc had been ignored which aggravated their conditions. He lashed out at the Federal government of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for having paid no attention to the Pukhoons problems which deepened their sense of deprivation and that were no healthy sign for federation.
He criticized the PTI-led government for its negative attitude towards the people of KP. He expressed concern over the negative the remarks of the PTI Imran Khan that should avoid such things. He said that it is matter of greater concern and PTI chairman Imran Khan should stop disrespecting institutions which is not the beauty of politics and it is great insult of the power of the vote of people as well.

He said that the provincial government of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was failed to delivered goods and its 11 points is more than a joke with the people of the country. He said that the party which had miserably failed runs a province, then how they can run the the whole country.
He said the ruling party in KP horsed on to make anew Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but it could not bring any change in the lives of the people which exposed their credentials. He regretted that the PTI only rely on lipped service, but practically it has done nothing for the welfare of the people.
He said that PTI chairman claimed that his government had constructed about 350 dams. “Where are these dams and how much electricity those generate?” he added. He said that the wrong economic policies of the PTI led provincial government have plagued the province and our people into debt.
Aftab Sherpao said that Pakhtuns rendered sacrifices for the cause of Pakistan but they had not been given their rights rewards. He said that the aim of Qaumi Watan Party is for the Pakhtoons rights whether the party is in power or opposition. He added that the only objective of the QWP was welfare of Pakhtoons and it would struggle for their cause.
