F.P. Report
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court canceled the Sindh government decision of re-conducting the entry tests for getting admission in government-run medical colleges after receiving several complaints of irregularities in the earlier examination.
The SHC directed the Sindh government to retain the previous results of the entry test which were conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) in October.
Court added that if any party has objection in this regard they can contact the Supreme Court as per their wishes.
An investigation was launched after a questionnaire of the pre-admission test for medical colleges in the province was leaked a day before the exams.
After the allegations, the Sindh government had decided to hold fresh pre-admission tests for government medical colleges in the province under the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The provincial government had announced its decision to re-conduct the exams in a notification, on the recommendation of a five-member committee formed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to investigate allegations of irregularities in the test.
