Merely a declaration of world countries is left

KABUL (Khaama Press): Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi said that countries have consistently been engaging with the new government and that the only thing left is a declaration of recognition. Amir Khan Muttaqi claimed that recognition of a new government has two phases which are official engagement that has been achieved and the declaration of the recognition.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Pashto, Muttaqi said they are in constant contact with most of the Afghan embassies and that they have also sent diplomats to most of the Afghan embassies. “Embassies are in contact with and reporting to Foreign Ministry. There are some diplomats that do not obey the ministry but we are in contact with them to make them binding to the central government in Kabul.” Muttaqi said.
About the internal legitimization, the FM said that thousands of people raised in support of the Taliban that finally toppled the previous government which is a sign of mass support of the Afghan people. Answering the question of thousands of Afghan journalists left jobless, Amir Khan Muttaqi said that there is no limitation of working for journalists and those laid off were due to the stoppage of their support by foreign organizations.
“We have not created issues for journalists in Afghanistan and we should not be blamed for thousands of media workers who are laid off. Foreign organizations have stopped funding them and the organizations should be made accountable.” Said Muttaqi. He also apparently confirmed travel restrictions on former Afghan president Hamid Karzai and head of former high council of peace reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah adding the government will resolve the issue.
