Overseas Kashmiris will be provided all facilities: AJK PM

ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Monday directed the authorities concerned to provide all required resources to the Overseas Desk and Track and Trace Committee besides activating the State Disaster Management Authority Emergency Desk.

Presiding over a high level meeting here, he also directed to provide private test facility to the expatriates in addition to the tests being carried out in the government laboratories, said a news release.

The AJK prime minister said, “Overseas Kashmiris are our asset and they will be provided all possible facilities.” He directed relevant officials to depute well-mannered staff at the overseas desk. “It is the matter of great satisfaction that majority of expatriates are more satisfied with the steps taken for their facilitation by the state government than the other parts of the country,” he added.

He directed his cabinet ministers to regularly monitor the performance of the overseas desk in their respective districts.

“The offices of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell in Pakistan should also be linked with the track committee”, he added. Health and Finance Minister Dr Najeeb Naqi Khan, Principal Secretary Ehsan Khalid Kiani, Secretary Health Maj General Tahir Sardar, Additional Inspector General of Police and In-charge Trace and Track Committee Faheem Abbasi attended the meeting.
