Pakistan draw 3-3 with Netherlands in Junior Hockey World Cup

Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan on Wednesday drew its vital match with the Netherlands 3-3 of the Junior Hockey World Cup being played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to a press release of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, in the first match of the Junior Hockey World Cup organized by FIH in Kuala Lumpur from December 5 to 16, the sensational match between Pakistan and the Netherlands ended in a 3-3 draw.

Pakistan’s first field goal was scored by Arshad Liaquat in the 32nd minute, the second goal was scored by Muhammad Sufyan Khan in the 36th minute through a penalty corner, and the third goal was scored by Arbaaz Ahmed in the 55th minute through a penalty stroke.

The first goal from the Netherlands was scored by Boris in the 21st minute, the second goal by Kasper in the 30th minute, and the third goal by Oliver in the 47th minute.

On this occasion, the team is accompanied by Manager Lt-Col R Asif Naz Khokhar, Head Coach Roelant Oltamans, Olympian Shakeel Abbasi, International Muhammad Ali, International Muhammad Asif Khan, Physiotherapist Muhammad Aslam and Video Analyst Nadeem Lodhi in the coaching panel.

Pakistan will play the second match of the event against New Zealand on December 7, while the third match will be played against Belgium on December 9.
