Pakistan Football Federation weighs to hunt talent from clubs, academies

LAHORE: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) president, Syed Mohsin Gillani has pledged to take all out efforts for the promotion and betterment of football in the country.

Addressing a press conference with head coach Nolberto Solano, Pakistan Football Federation president said that he took charge of the post after the election two months back.

He said PFF first of all selected the best coach for Pakistan senior team and U-23 football team.

Mohsin Gillani claimed that Nolberto Solano was considered as one of the best football coaches in the world.

He said FIFA and AFC are doing a lot of sports in technical development. An MoU will be signed soon to work with Azerbaijan to promote football.

Mohsin Gillani said PFF was taking every possible step to improve technical development of the team.

He said PFF has formed a futsal team for the first time. A meeting of the PFF Executive Committee has been called for tomorrow. The president said that the new talent will be hunted from the clubs and academies and these responsibilities have been given to the technical department.

On the occasion, PFF head coach Nolberto Solano said that he like challenges and coaching Pakistan will be a challenge.

He said his first goal was to bring Pakistan to international football level as there is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. Nolberto Solano said efforts will be made to ensure that players get to play as much football as possible, and to make them believe that they are the stars of Pakistan football.

Nolberto Solano said that when players are confident then they will perform and I also suspect there are problems in PFF. If there is club football, then there will be progress in Pakistani football.
