People will reject the Nawaz’s disqualification for life, says Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the decision of Supreme Court for disqualifying former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for life will not be accepted by the people.

She this while issuing a statement after the Supreme Court announced a historic verdict that the disqualification under Article 62 (1)(f) of the constitution for life.

Marriyum asserted that it is unfortunate that elected premier is disqualified first and verdict comes later and adding that this decision will also be rejected by the public.

The apex court judgment barred both Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen ineligible to ever hold public office.

Marriyum termed the present verdict is the same due to which Bhutto was awarded death sentence and Benazir was martyred.

She claimed that no accusations have been proved in the accountability court against Nawaz Sharif and adding that the Supreme Court verdict is still under trial in NAB court.

She criticized that hidden forces for working against elected government and making the decision of JIT on Whatsapp. The real decision will be taken by the people of Pakistan, she added.
