PM Imran says opposition will face humiliating defeat

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Commenting on the submission of the requisition by the opposition parties to the National Assembly secretariat, Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday said that it was the last attempt of the opposition and the government was going nowhere.

During a meeting with famous YouTubers of Pakistan in Islamabad, the prime minister maintained: “After this last ‘plot’ of the opposition, nothing will happen till 2028. The opposition will have to suffer a humiliating defeat.”

Alarmed at cracks, which have appeared in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Punjab ranks over retaining Sardar Usman Buzdar as provincial chief minister, Prime Minister Imran Khan plans to hold a flurry of meetings including with CM Buzdar and members of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group to find a way out of the deadlock.

The prime minister has already held meetings with Sindh Governor Imran Ismael and Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry.

Sindh governor, who had reached Lahore last night (Monday) to listen to the grievances of ‘estranged’ member of the PTI, Abdul Aleem Khan, today briefed PM Imran about details of his meeting with Aleem.

Meanwhile, sources have told 24News that the battle of nerves over the opposition’s no-trust motion has forced PM Imran to fight it out on social media as well as he has invited YouTubers to the Prime Minister House in order to enlist their support and give them some directions.

Abdul Aleem Khan had on Monday (yesterday) formally announced joining the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group aimed at uniting all the alienated members and groups of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Aleem Khan attended the group meeting at the residence of the group leader Jahangir Tareen at Model Town.

Talking to the media at the end of the meeting, Aleem, on behalf of the JKT group, openly voiced his concern over the prime minister’s insistence on retaining Usman Buzdar as Punjab chief minister.
