Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar has launched a new initiative in the Punjab Police namely “Police Station Diaries”, which aims at evaluating police performance, acknowledgement of contributions and encouragement of the Police officials and top brass in the line of their duty. In the initial phase of Police Station Diaries, IG Punjab reviewed the performance of Sargodha Police, which traced high profile cases and uncovered several criminal networks in its area of jurisdiction. As said, the Sargodha Police foiled the deliberate conspiracy of inter-religious dispute and sectarianism with the timely actions and effective strategy, and tackled several cases of blind murders including the abduction of a newborn child. IG Punjab bucked up the SHOs and investigating officers who investigated the cases and brought the criminals to justice.
Inspector General Police is a professional Police officer who is vigorously working for professional improvement and uplift of Punjab Police department as well as endeavoring hard for the welfare of the Police force and their family members. The Punjab Police is one of the largest Police forces which deals with the law and order issues of the biggest province in the country. Punjab Police is notorious for its corruption, poor professionalism, misbehaving with the public and murder of innocent citizens through fake encounters.
