Process of accountability to continue in country: Shafqat Mahmood

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the process of accountability will be continued in the country and adding that no one can stop it.

Minister said this while bashing the opposition in the National Assembly session on Thursday. Shafqat said that parliament or democracy cannot hinder the process of accountability.

He added that the opposition parties say National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law is ‘black law.’ Why didn’t they remove it during their own ten-year tenure?”.

Shafqat Mahmood added that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders should raise slogans against their own leadership.

The opposition recorded their protest by wearing black bands during the session.

Before Shafqat Mahmood, PPP leader Khursheed Shah addressed the NA session and said only political leaders are being held accountable.
