Prophecy of coronavirus

Sehar Sajjad

The year 2020 has come with so many surprises and naturally with an unwelcomed guest, covid-19, being a health risk and threat to life, along with its companions such as more poverty, more complex economic situations, inadequacy particularly, impuissance.

It has put mankind in deep thoughts challenging their capability and efficiency of doing and controlling everything.

The outbreak has not only shaken the economic and health sectors only but it has also created an alarming situation for faiths all over the world especially in the sub-continent.

With the inception of this pandemic, managers of religious organizations have started claiming that they already knew about this pandemic and showed strong pieces of evidence to brace their claim.

However, their prophecies are well received by the audience of those particular faiths. Coronavirus predictions are not limited to religious sectors, in fact, a number of books have come into the spotlight and visual clips by famous personalities have also gone viral on media that claims the divination about the novel virus.

If the religious leaders, astrologers, or scientists already knew that a pandemic is going to happen in 2020 then why didn’t they make proper arrangements? Or do they doubt their faith? Or skills?

Why do humans always act this way? They always claim that they knew about a certain fact after it is done already. Is there any science behind this or humans doubt their faiths and beliefs?

Being human, you always believe what you see. You may have heard the predictions but you only accept them when you see them done.

Does that mean you believe in science? And again it questions your faith. Science says that you must consider social distancing if you value your and others’ lives. What are you doing? Now you want to attend social and holy places. Even those legends who already knew about this pandemic don’t bother to take precautions for themselves and their followers. The religious managers are afraid that the followers of their shared faith will be distracted if they will not attend the holy places. Well, this is something that is not understandable.

What makes them doubt the faith of others? Coronavirus has just forced mankind to stay home and if someone loses his faith during this then it means he never had it. This outbreak has unveiled not only the governmental structures and their weaknesses but it has also shown us where we stand. Before 2020, no one was prepared for this pandemic after having all the proofs of prophecies. Now people claim that they were aware of that. If they were so sure about their prophecies then they should have prepared for this which they are not.

Hopefully, coronavirus will end soon and so will the blame game but this period is a lesson for all.

Science of prophecies should be learned so that we can put science and faith together at the table.
