PTI to charge IGP for killing of workers: Sher Afzal

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah extended Bail before Arrest (BBA) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat in 11 cases till 12th March, on Tuesday.

PTI vice president and newly elected Member National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat pleaded that the provincial government had nominated him in different cases for holding workers’ conventions without prior permission from administration.

PHC requested for adjournment as well as extension in BBA as a meeting of Sher Afzal Marwat is scheduled with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adyala jail Rawalpindi. PHC’s divisional bench comprised of Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah extended 12th March and adjourned further hearing.

Moreover, Sher Afzal Marwat argued that may the cases became infructuous before next hearing. It is worthy to mention that Sher Afzal Marwat is booked in different cases at Kohat, Dir, Mardan and Swabi districts.

Although, Sher Afzal Marwat said that PTI will ensure accountability of public servants especially police personnel involved in crackdown as well as torture of party’s workers. He added that people of Pakhtunkhwa had rejected Pervaiz Khattak and Mahmood Khan by throwing them into bin because deceived PTI workers. PTI senior vice president claimed that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had knocked for negotiation on formation government but the founder Imran Khan will decide fate of the coalitions and negotiations.

This he claimed while addressing media personnel along with Kamran Bangash at PHC after obtaining extension in BBA and claimed that establishment had looted public mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as in Punjab. He added that police had tortured PTI workers to death and the party government will book Inspector General of Police for killing of activists along with other concerned officials. PTI vice president paid thanks to residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their trust on the party for providing third consecutive opportunity for government in the province which is itself the making of a history.
