F.P. Report

LAHORE: In the wake of the new variants of the coronavirus spreading across the globe, the Primary Health Department of Punjab has decided to restart the coronavirus testing of all suspected cases in the province, on Thursday.

The department has issued a notification to all district health authorities, directing them to conduct coronavirus tests of people with symptoms, contacts of confirmed cases, travellers from high-risk areas, and other vulnerable groups.

The notification also stated that the coronavirus testing will help to identify the cases in the province and take appropriate measures to contain the virus.

The Primary Health Department urged the public to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and avoiding gatherings to prevent the transmission of the virus.
