MUMBAI: Right after the success of Stree last year, rumours started that Rajkummar Rao will soon be teaming up with producer Dinesh Vijan once again for another horror comedy. Now we can confirm that the project is all set to go on floors soon.

A report in a leading daily also revealed that the makers will title the film as Rooh-Afza. The horror comedy is said to be based on a singing ghost, who puts the groom to sleep with a lullaby so that she can posses the bride. The film will be based in in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh and is based on another folk-legend just like Rajkummar and Dinesh’s last collaboration. Talking about the plot, the producer said, “The chudail is trying to put him to sleep with a lullaby. It is believed that if a groom dozes off, she proceeds to possess his bride in a bid to make his marital life hell. The film is a laugh riot all the way while at the same time, talk of the legend and the spirit will have you looking around yourself, wondering if she is anywhere close by.” Dinesh concluded saying, “Even though it is named after the refreshing summer drink, Rooh Afza, there is nothing sweet about it.” While the film is expected to go on floors in May, the makers are yet to finalize the female lead and director.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao will be next seen in Mental Hai Kya, which is directed by National award-winning Telugu filmmaker, Prakash Kovelamudi. He is known for his work in films like Bommalata and Anaganaga O Dheerudu. The film also marks the second collaboration between Rajkummar and Kangana Ranaut after Queen (2014).
